Nature
White powder, odorless, sublimates at 1720℃, stable at room temperature, insoluble in water and alcohol, but soluble in acid, alkali and ammonium salt solutions. It absorbs carbon dioxide and water in the air to form white zinc carbonate and should be stored in a sealed container. It has good covering power and coloring power. When heated, it turns lemon yellow and can be reduced by hydrogen. After cooling, it turns white.

Preparation method
Dissolve high-purity zinc acetate in water and add high-purity ammonium carbonate solution under stirring to convert zinc acetate into zinc carbonate precipitate. Filter ZnCO3 by suction, wash it with water several times, dry it by suction and then dry it in an oven at 1200℃. Alternatively, high-purity zinc nitrate can be dissolved in water, and high-purity ammonia water can be added under continuous stirring to convert ZnN03 into Zfl(OH)2 precipitate. Zn(OH)2 was filtered by suction, washed with hot water, dried by suction, and then heated to 500-800 ℃ for calcination to obtain high-purity zinc oxide.

Safety
Woven bags for packaging with 2 to 3 layers of 80g kraft paper or polyethylene plastic bags inside, net weight 25kg, 30kg. Store in a well-ventilated, cool and dry warehouse. The packaging should be tightly sealed to prevent damage. Keep it heat-proof, water-proof and moisture-proof. Also, store it separately from strong acids and edible ingredients. In case of fire, water, foam fire extinguishers or other fire-fighting devices can be used to put it out. Toxicity and protection: Poisoned individuals may experience symptoms such as poor appetite, thirst, fatigue, chest tightness and tenderness, drowsiness, and dry cough. They may also have elevated body temperature, dilated pupils, and congestion in the conjunctiva, pharynx, and face. In severe cases, interstitial pulmonary edema and destruction of alveolar epithelium may occur. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 0.5mg/m ³. During operation, one should wear a gas mask, protective glasses and work clothes. Take a hot bath after work. Attention should be paid to preventing the formation and emission of vapor and aerosols into the air at the workplace. Attention should be paid to dust prevention and ventilation.
